If your house doesn’t feel like a home to you yet, you probably haven’t been living there long. Either that, or you just can’t seem to get your home decor design right. Perhaps the real problem is that you’re missing a few things? Some of the following things are cheap and easy to get your hands on, others might cost you a little money. Either way, many of them will help your house to feel more like a home to you. Artwork always makes a house to feel more homely, especially if it’s artwork that you really like. There are no rules when it comes to artwork in the home. It can be hung on the walls, on the fridge, or even handpainted onto the walls! It could be by your favourite artist, a child, or even yourself. Use your imagination and brighten up your home with some special artwork. Fridge magnets might seem a little silly to you, but they can be a lot of fun. You can spell out funny phrases and words with them, which is a nice little surprise whenever you head to the fridge for a snack. You can even use them as souvenirs to remember the places you’ve been. Kids love them! The perfect way to brighten up your fridge. If you love books, then you need a bookshelf to show them off. These look great in the dining room, living room, or even a study. You can fill your bookshelf with books you love, or even just books that you think look interesting. Many books are made especially to be shown off on book shelves. They come in all different shapes, sizes, and textures. Make the most of a bookshelf in your home and guests will love leafing through your reading material! Barbecues are so much fun in the summer. What’s better than inviting all of your friends round for a burger and a beer when the sun is shining? With a barbecue and Ingoe Oils to power it, you can’t go wrong! Plants add life to the home and can even help to clear the air. Don’t splash out money on an air purifier when you can buy plants! The house really isn’t a home without a pet. I don’t care what anybody else says! Pets are so much fun and make the house a brighter place. Whether you get a cat, dog, rabbit, rat, or a goldfish, you’ll find that they make you feel more at home. The only thing I don’t agree with is keeping snakes as pets *shudder*. People have mixed opinions on TVs. Of course they can do more harm than good if that’s all you’re paying attention to all day. However, there’s nothing wrong with watching an hour or two of your favourite programs a few times a week. Do you have these things in your house? If not, get them ASAP and make it a home.
